Weston High's boys soccer team won its second straight South-West Conference (SWC) championship on Sunday, Nov. 1, shutting out New Milford 4-0.

The Trojans did not give up a goal in the quarterfinal, the semifinal or the final. They beat Joel Barlow 2-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 27, and Pomperaug 4-0 on Thursday, Oct. 29, both at Weston High, before the final at Western Connecticut State University. The title is the program's fifth in the last nine years, the school's athletics account said.

Girls volleyball beat Notre Dame Prep 3-0 in an SWC quarterfinal at home on Monday, Nov. 2, according to CIAC, the state's high school sports governing body. Julia Zwack recorded her 1,000th career kill that night, the school said. A kill is an attack that wins the point outright. The Trojans host Brookfield in the SWC semifinal on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m.

Girls swimming beat Brookfield 93-88 on Tuesday, Oct. 27. The school said the win finished an undefeated regular season and that the Trojans go into the SWC championships as the top seed.

Maisie Rosengarten finished eighth in her race at the state cross country meet on Saturday, Oct. 31, and qualified "to run at the State Opens," the school said.

Earlier, volleyball beat Notre Dame Prep 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-23, 25-15) on Senior Night, Tuesday, Oct. 27, when the school honored six seniors, and won 3-0 at New Fairfield on Thursday, Oct. 29.

Football beat Bassick 48-8 at home on Friday, Oct. 30.

The school also announced John Anderson as its new boys basketball head coach on Thursday, Oct. 29.

Girls soccer lost 3-0 at Notre Dame Prep in a postseason game on Monday, Oct. 26, according to CIAC.
